Another weigh-in

Hello everyone. Today I went to the cardiologist for another check up on my condition before the surgery. Everything seems to be going well and I weighed in at 8lbs 11oz. The doctors are happy with my progress and it looks like things are a go for surgery next month on the 17th. I am going to keep feeding a lot like I am now so that I can be even bigger and stronger. The bigger and stronger I am will make the recovery much quicker after the operation. Thanks again everyone for you prayers for me and my parents.

I had my first full evening baby sitters on Friday night. My Aunt Lauren and Uncle Jason took care of me while Mom and Dad went to a wedding. Mom and Dad said they had a fun time but missed me a lot. I'm a little bummed that I could not make it to the wedding but I will not miss the weddings coming up next year.

Boscoe's cousin Jet helped baby sit me. His job was to play with Boscoe. Boscoe had fun.

I had a real sleepy weekend. I think I was more worn out from the Iowa trip than I first thought. I slept while Jason and Lauren were watching me and was put to bed at 10PM and I did not wake up until 9AM in the morning. Mom and Dad were impressed. By the way, I am now sleeping in my own room, I'm such a big girl.

One of my naps while I was being baby sat.

On Saturday my Grandma and Grandpa "T" made it up from the Springs for an afternoon visit. We had a good time and I was awake for most of the it but ended up falling asleep here and there during the visit. I got a couple of really cute outfits from the grandparents that I am excited to wear. I have also been smiling more when people talk to me and smile at me. Mom and Dad really get a kick out of it. It's a lot of work, maybe this is why I'm so tired.

Dad makes me smile. The picture was a little late to catch the full smile. You got to be fast to catch my quick smiles.

My Dad's friend Ryan stopped by to see me on Sunday evening. He was in town for a little bit before heading around the world somewhere. He is kind of all over the globe and I was glad to get to meet him before he had to go back to the Arctic and then later the Antarctic for work. He said there would be a chance that he would be back in October to say hi again. Ryan is sure a lot of fun and it was nice to get to meet him.

My friend Ryan and me.

Well, all of this blogging is making me tired so I must say bye for now.

Don't sweat missing the wedding, Lydia. Darci and I saved you some wedding cake. Now, if we can just get it by your parents.... Maybe we'll slip it through a window or something. Wait for our signal.

What a cutie again! Don't you love those first smiles and interactions. It makes all the hard work worth it! Sleeping through the night already, good job Lydia!

Wow Lydia...is that a Minnie Mouse sleeper I see in the picture with your new friend, Ryan? If it is you are growing really well, I remember when your cousin Erin wore that one and it was when she was getting BIG. I bet you had a lot of fun with your uncle Jason, aunt Lauren, Jet, and Gr & Gr T. I am glad they got to spend some more time with you, but I sure wish we lived a little closer so we could give you some hugs again too! Love, Uncle Barry, Aunt Joni, Ethan & Erin

Way to go! You are getting so big....keep those smiles coming, they have a way of making grown-ups do crazy things for you....like buy you things you don't really need and talking in wierd voices and generally making a spectacle of themselves...it's great! Anything for a smile :)
I was able to spend some time teaching PE to a special needs class at the pool this week. It was so great to see the kids swim and it was so fun. You are gonna be a super-fantastic-swimmer too, if I can help it! I know your mom and dad love the water so it shouldn't be a problem. That reminds me, has your dad ever shown you the picture?! Tell him you want to see the 'facemask'. Now that will make you smile....or cry, not sure. Have a great weekend! Love you, Auntie Jenness, Uncle Andrew, Marty, Michael, Maxwell, Maggie, and Maddie
